Beautifully engineered 3 litre straight 4 with Variocam variable valve timing. Derived from the Porsche 944 S2 engine which was originally derived from the Porsche 928 V8.

The engine bay of the Porsche 968 houses the well engineered 3 litre straight 4 cylinder engine with Variocam variable valve timing and balance shafts for vibration control. Derived from the 944 S2 it has been lightened and the inlet manifolds have been re-engineered to give faster responce and increased bhp, now up to 240bhp as standard.
