For the best service in wheel refurbishment.
'Your company' was established in 19xx and has many years in the car repair industry. Initially we offered a mobile fast and efficient alloy wheel, refurbishment service to the car trade and general public.
Serving garages such as BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Honda, Mercedes etc in Greater Manchester and surrounding areas.
Our fully equipped mobile workshops travel to customers premises where we then repair and transform the alloy wheels into a showroom like condition.
Although most alloy wheels can be repaired by 'your company' mobile service, it soon became apparent that some wheels needed that extra touch to return them to their former glory.
In January 20xx we expanded the alloy refurbishment service by opening up a refurbishment workshop in Stockport, Cheshire which operates a same day drive in service.
'Your company' now offer powder coating, chemical stripping, grit blasting, colour coding, mirror polishing, welding and straightening also tyre changing services as well as repairing kerb damage, scuffs and scratches and oxidation, using the very latest equipment and methods.
Please contact alloy wheel refurbishment 'your company' for further information on all our alloy wheel refurbishment services.
We make your wheels sparkle.
The Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Process
The process for powder coated alloy wheels refurbishment.
1. The wheels are pressure washed to remove grime and dirt.
2. Remove tyres and check the wheels for damage (especially the lip of the rim) any cracks repaired/welded, rim repaired then machined.
3. Chemical strip.
4. Light grit blasting if needed.
5. Pre-heat and degas the wheels in an industrial oven.
6. Powder coat and lacquer.
7. Refit tyres and balance.
What Is Powder Coating?
This is a method of painting by which electrically charged powder paint is spray applied via a high voltage, low ampere power unit to a grounded work piece i.e. alloy wheel.
Electrostatic attraction holds the powder to the coated part.
The coated part is then heated in an industrial oven to over 200c which then melts / fuses the powder on to the alloy wheel.
This results in a very durable, scratch resistant high gloss finish, which is three times stronger than solvent based paints. Unlike liquid paint it contains no solvents and is therefore very environmentally friendly.
Why Chemically Strip?
This is more of an effective way to strip the old paint
off the alloy wheels, unlike grit blasting which can be very harsh and
pit the surface of the Alloy Wheels.
The cleaned chemical is then returned to the tank. This keeps the chemical in optimum condition, to enable us to strip the alloy wheeels more effectively.
